- Solar Fight
History:
Moved it into my studio games space to get my fill before someone buys
it - have a couple people interested in it (Nov 26, '09) :: Added the
Braze upgrade kit, played a round of each new game, seems the Lunar Rescue
is much harder than the Escape From Mars upright that I have, but it's
pretty cool to play it with the moonscape and semi-silvered mirror gameplay
(Dec 25, '07) :: Re-cleaned, and installed the NOS control panel overlay
- looks extra sweet! (Dec 24, '07) :: Sparked it up, but no sound. Grrrr.
Oh yeah, the speaker connections were always just holding on by a thread
- turfed the broken connections, and soldered them on properly - works
great again (Dec 09, '07) :: Brought it back to my studio (Dec 08, '07)
:: My upgrade kit came for the Space Invaders [whoo hoo!] (Oct 29, '07)
:: Space Invaders was botched, but I ended up fixing it. It was exhibiting
a bizarre Matrix like pixel shower, and vastly sped-up game play - oddly,
I did not have my camera with me - would have made some great images
or video footage. The left coin slot chute is jammed, need to pull that
apart soon [fixed at some point between 24.08 and 29.10]. Re-seated the
dual boards, and now it looks great again (Aug 24, '07) :: Fixed the
sound issue on SI - just disconnected wires! (Mar 31, '06) :: Space Invaders
is almost totally back again - one small part got fried - which made
the boards stop getting "-5v", but still
no sound. (Mar 29, '06) :: Received my Asteroids upright, and Space Invaders
uprights - both were working great, until I turned my back and the Asteroids
popped the breaker in the garage. Changed the blown fuses in the game,
but power-up blew the 7A right away. Crap! - well, the SI is very fun
to play. Gotta fix up the bottom in the morning (all the leg-levelers
are missing and/or broken posts) - but you have just got to see this
backlit and reflected display - very trippy! (Feb 21, '06)
