History: Moved the interior interconnect switch - a pain, but I feel better now (Dec 10 '06) :: Got my Asteroids cocktail back (all tweaked, fixed board wiring, and moved the on/off switch, etc.) (Nov 30 '06) :: Asteroids : One word : linearity! - finally found the pot on the video board thanks to ionpool, RGVAC and Tony – I couldn't see them initially, because from the door side, they were hidden behind the glue (well, some kind of rubbery substance) - and the pots look the same as the ones on the PCB. The one farther back I couldn't get all the rubber off [scared to cut into something else important], and the one adjustment got me 95-99 percent there, which ... I'll quit while I'm still ahead. Looks and plays awesome now. The audio volume sometimes gets lower for a bit in game play, but, I'll leave that fix for later. Games ready for the spot light - fun game! (Feb 11 '06) :: Found the rouge blown fuse in my Asteroids [whew!] - a 3-amp. 250V 3AG Slow-Blow glass cartridge-type fuse. Now to get a few replacements in the daylight. Finished cleaning the whole cabinet - inside and out - almost ready for prime-time (Feb 8 '06) :: After the final Asteroids cleaning, I played a couple games, and then it crapped out [Doh!] - did some trouble-shooting, and cleaning both sides of the board edge connector seemed to fix it up - P1/P2 flashing problem, which was mentioned here / Fixed a nagging problem that would have made me bonkers - there was a triangle of wood or paper stuck under the table glass, so I fired up my compressor, and finally blew that sucker out of there - wow, I feel better now! (Feb 3 '06) :: Cleaned up the Asteroids, and installed a new lock - looking good! (Jan 30 '06) :: Picked up my Asteroids cocktail cabinet from another old-school gamer - Thanks Dave! (Jan 30 '06)
