History: Spent about an hour fretting over swapping my other board in here that I got awhile back from the Netherlands (this machine hooks up with individual board connectors, and not the regular edge connector - hence the difficulty - gave up, and tried this board in my Popeye - that didn't show video either, so I'm not sure what the hell it means, other than I'm bailing on converting the Popeye to a real DKJr board for good - on the bright side, the sound cut out while I was messing with the wiring, so I finally cleaned up the audio wiring properly (Oct 5, 2008) :: Tried to get the second coin mech working in my DKJr upright, and gave up in disgust after about 2 hours, and swapping out two different (fresh) coin switches. cripes. Worked with the coin wire at full length, but when trimmed short enough for the door to close - wouldn't work at all, or would not let the coin drop. Argh!!!! :: cabinet is nice and clean now though, and I applied the fresh game play sticker (Nov 19, 2007) :: My arcade parts finally arrived, so I can start to complete my DKJr (Oct 29, 2007) :: Installed the clean buttons on the DKJr. control panel, and put that back together - looks sweet! Cleaned the control panel - then replaced the heavily broken control panel overlay with a fresh NOS (still had the backing on it) (Oct 22, 2007) :: Replaced the broken marquee, with a NOS version - still had the backing on it (original was cracked) (Sept, 2007) :: Moved my new Donkey Kong Jr. into the Guitar Connection - monitor was just rebuilt, and it looks incredibly sweet! (May 07, 2007) :: Looked at the Donkey Kong Jr. upright cabinet (just re-capped) - in pretty nice shape - ended up having competitions on the DKJr. got my all-time highscore, and getting to level 10 or 11 [game not at stock settings tho] - hard to keep track at that point - basically the 3rd screen after the 4th screen level [electronic level] - which is a chain level [super hard!], a vine level - also pretty hard, then a spring-board level - wicked hard!
