Lately I've been writing new tunes (lots to inspire me it seems), shooting a lot of models, live music and product photography. Busy at the moment prepping a few more games (revamping my Arkanoid Revenge of Doh cocktail, detailing an Asteroids Deluxe, and a Targ cocktail right now) and a couple new titles on the horizon, added a page of Marquee's - some thumbnails too. Galleries are listed below in a blog-esque format. Thumbnails in time will all go to the gallery in question - for sessions that are not yet posted, only a thumbnail will exist - email if you're interested in seeing any shoots not yet online, or arrange a meeting to view material on a large display. Note that lots of images can be seen down at the Guitar Connection spinning on an iMac during regular shop hours (often images that might/will not ever appear online) - typically new images added occasionally when jaunting across town - another iMac has been placed in The Soda Lounge (April 17), but not setup yet - will probably be unveiled after the renovations in June, placement still in the works (Jan). Please pause the slide-show when not actively viewing it to save my server bandwidth - Thanks in advance!

Snatch Rock Bar :: Suicide Girls / Tattoo Show After Party

Mother Mother :: The Gateway (SAIT)

The Pine Tarts :: Broken City

The Shades :: Reunion Concert - Ranchman's

Shot December 6th., 2009 for BeatRoute - Tommy Chong and his old blues band "The Calgary Shades", had their Reunion show at Ranchman's :: Tommie Melton seemed to really revel in the rousing crowd response (on the left) and Tommy Chong showing his ample blues-chops on a nice Paul Reid Smith guitar :: The Calgary Shades were asked to leave town before Christmas in 1958 by the Mayor (Don Mackay), and 51 years is a long time to wait, but it was worth it. Shot December 9th., 2009 at Chinook Center :: Motionless statue models I'd heard about the other day, and went to check them out, apparently there are a bunch of different ones (each at a roped off riser throughout the mall), and not all were there today - they even change locations within the same day while I was there. The Fates :: Mikey's Juke Joint

Shot November 21st., 2009 - great trio of women played to a wall to wall crowd there - I think my best results from this venue so far (took more time figuring out the color of the stage lights thanks to my new a900) - Lin Elder (vocals and guitar on the left) and Jenny Allen (on the right) :: lineup - Jenny Allen, Lin Elder and Lori Reid (Lori really has an amazing velvety voice) - each played multiple instruments throughout the evening. Vocals sounded reminiscent of Ani DiFranco, really great sets of tunes.






Allegro Music Recital (instructor) :: Mackenzie Towne Church

Shot November 21st., 2009 - Paul Showler - playing a semi-hollowbody Epiphone as part of a trio (on the left) and Ashley Mamen using blank space as powerfully as her voice (on the right) :: some impressive talent there at Allegro Music as it would seem from what I witnessed - nice acoustics in the venue as well. All the proceeds go towards the Cancer Society. Filmed most of the session on 3-chip DV, and in 48K/24-bit audio from the left back of the theatre.



building @ 220 12th Ave SW :: art study

Shot November 20th., 2009 - The SW corner has some nice subtle greens and yellow interior colors, mixed with the natural concrete walkway (on the left) and the revolving door (on the right) :: don't think this building is completely finished, but apparently there are tenants within, been meaning to take a few images - as it was under construction for a couple years I think.

This lounge (meet) is adjoining The Coup, which is one of my favorite restaurants here in Calgary (924 - 17th Avenue SW) - great :: staff / food / presentation / ambience / tunes

Emmylou Harris :: Jack Singer
